BR Gallery welcomes new exhibit

This week, the Baton Rouge Gallery opens their September exhibition, featuring the works of gallery members Charles Barbier, Leanne McClurg Cambric, Scott Finch and Preston Gilchrist. Gallery visitors will be treated to Barbier’s playful and thought-provoking carnival scenes, Finch’s latest artistic endeavors which range from works inspired by the Chinese New Year to a 23-chapter graphic novel, Gilchrist’s dialogue-inciting encaustic paintings and Cambric’s ceramic celebration of the “fable of birds.” The exhibit will be free and open to the public for its duration, Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 6 p.m. at Baton Rouge Gallery. And don’t miss the First Wednesday opening reception on Sept. 7, where you can enjoy free hors d’oeuvres and drinks while you view these new artworks from 7 to 9 p.m. Find out more at batonrougegallery.org.
