Bluebonnet Swamp rocks the weekend

BREC’s Bluebonnet Swamp and Nature Center will host their annual Rockin’ at the Swamp event this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Experienced fossil hunters and rock enthusiasts alike have the opportunity to enjoy the trails while making their own gemstone identification card; collecting and learning about pyrite specimens; and starting or continuing a gemstone collection. In addition, hobbyists and gem-mining vendors will showcase collection displays of rough and polished mineral specimens and fossils. You can also test your skills on a rock-climbing wall.
