Bloom’s day on Friday

Penned by Brick auteur Rian Johnson, The Brothers Bloom stars Adrian Brody and Mark Ruffalo as master conmen whose specialty is relieving millionaires of their extensive savings. When they decide on one final job before retiring, they target a wealthy heiress played by Rachel Weisz, and take her on a whirlwind adventure around the world. While Brody and Ruffalo twist their tongues and scheme for her money, Weisz puts on the real show. The actress learned to play piano, violin, accordion, banjo, and how to break-dance, juggle, perform karate, play Ping-Pong, ride a unicycle, and a skateboard for the role of the wealthy and eccentric Penelope Stamp. Fans of the Steve Martin and Michael Caine classic Dirty Rotten Scoundrels should love it. Robbie Coltrane and Rinko Kikuchi co-star. Rated PG-13.
