Blind Melon returns with singer, album

After lead singer Shannon Hoon’s death in 1995, many Blind Melon fans didn’t know what to expect of the alternative one-hit wonders. Surprisingly, the band has returned with a new lead singer, touring across the country to promote its first album in 12 years, For My Friends. They stop at Varsity Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 9.
