Bizarre, odd and often hilarious: Found Footage Festival Friday

If you peruse garage sales, you might be familiar with the odd VHS tapes the organizers of Found Footage Festival make it their mission to highlight. Now, these aren’t tapes of classics or those old Disney movies you once collected. No, these are videos ranging from hilariously bad home recordings to curious workout instructions to those movies you’d see in the 99-cent bin at Blockbuster a decade ago. After nearly a decade of collecting videos, the Found Footage team pieced together a show and has gotten acclaim for its off-the-wall humor. Check out the show at 9 p.m. Friday at Mud and Water.
