Bench Bar Boogie Band plays Dalton’s fundraiser

Dalton’s on Lafayette Street near the Hilton hosts a “Have a Heart” fundraiser for Marvin J. Pollet, a Baton Rougean who recently died while awaiting a heart transplant. The Bench Bar Boogie Band play legal tunes Saturday as lines form for $5 plates of jambalaya and barbecue. Drawings and raffle prizes include a four-day Carnival Cruise from New Orleans to Cozumel, his and her LSU commemorative championship watches, 2 LSU vs. Florida football tickets on the 50-yard line, a 40-inch Sony flatscreen, a Nintendo Wii game console and sacks of live crawfish. The action is from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
