Be the next B.R. Idol (or at least watch)

Don’t count on Simon Cowell showing up, but count on plenty of musical fun Saturday at the 2009 FOX44 Baton Rouge Idol Finale at Perkins Rowe. Local singers who think they’ve got what it takes will perform live on stage with special guests Lindsay Rae Spurlock and the teen brothers Solar Heat. The winner wins a trip to audition with American Idol producers next month in Denver. Auditions are open to people ages 16 to 28 who are eligible to work, and closed auditions are from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The finale is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free.
