Batter up! – LSU Baseball team releases list of walk-out songs
Perhaps the greatest of baseball traditions are the moments before a player bats.
Right before the hitter can show off his guts and strength, he gets to intimidate the pitcher by walking to the plate while a song blares over the speakers.
It’s a mind game where the player tells the pitcher, “Oh, think you’re going to strike me out? Think again and listen to this jam …” Then, the crowd hears Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive” or something cooler.

Today, LSU’s baseball team released its list of 2014 walk-out songs. The list is full of standard pump-up fare, including Chris Sciambra’s choice of DMX’s “Party Up” and Parker Bugg’s choice of Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive.”
Aaron Nola, who was selected as one of 225‘s People to Watch earlier this year, also had a respectable choice with the classic “Regulate” by Warren G.
Other choices are a bit out there, including Tyler Moore’s walking out to “Bailamos” by Enrique Iglesias and Kurt McCune’s choice of Ellie Goulding’s “Burn.” (Seriously dudes? There’s no crying in baseball.)
