Baton Rouge restaurants renovate
The Melting Pot, Baton Rouge’s first and only fondue restaurant, is celebrating its 11th anniversary with a brand-new look and a dinner special. The restaurant recently completed a renovation that saw smooth granite tabletops and state-of-the-art burners installed in every cozy booth. The bar got a new surface and a makeover as well. If you want to check out the renovation results for yourself, you can click here for a slideshow—or head there tonight for their 11th anniversary special meal-deal: a cheese or chocolate fondue for just $11. Copeland’s Cheesecake Bistro on Bluebonnet, meanwhile, is also undergoing a renovation that will update the interior, similar to the renovation of Copeland’s of New Orleans on Essen last year. The bistro owners hope to have it open again shortly after Thanksgiving.
