Arts: Best Bets
Ending this month is an exhibit of digital paintings by Louisiana native John F. Simon Jr. The artist translates his stream-of-consciousness sketches into computer code that’s projected on an LCD screen often encased in elaborate cabinets. The result is a kaleidoscope of imagery that evolves and never repeats. You’re probably better off seeing Digital Paintings in person to get a true sense of Simon’s talent. The exhibit ends Sept. 23 at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum. lasm.org
