Arts: Best Bets
Baton Rouge-based artist Demond Matsuo is celebrating a retrospective of sorts at the Gallery at the Manship Theatre. His large, collage-like mixed media works currently on view span 2009 to 2013 and explore the juxtaposition between the Samurai and his sword and delicate cherry blossoms.
The show, coordinated through Ann Connelly Fine Art, opened in late January and the gallery extended its run through March 5, so there’s still time to check out Matsuo’s works in the second-floor space. annconnelly.com
