Art in the Park

BREC and the Baton Rouge Gallery are teaming up for the first-ever Art in the Park festival this Saturday, focusing on bringing fun art activities to the masses. Families can hang at the gallery from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and enjoy great kid-friendly art projects, a sidewalk chalk drawing contest, storytelling by some of the Red Stick’s best kids’ entertainers and art technique demonstrations by Baton Rouge Gallery artists. Adults needn’t feel left out, either, as the grounds will play host to an artists’ portfolio sale with plenty of art to peruse. Free to the public. Call 383-1470 for more information.
