Those who can’t stand their office or that one neighbor with the dog that barks every morning at 5 a.m. can direct their own alien invasion fantasies with a new smart phone app developed by Zehnder Communications for Sony Pictures. Utilizing an “augmented reality” browser, the Battle: Los Angeles Alien Invasion Layar allows users to insert the same aliens, aircraft and explosions seen in the movie into photos shot on their phones. Battle: Los Angeles was filmed partially in Shreveport and Baton Rouge in 2009.
