Four Baton Rouge clothing designers will debut their work at NOLA Fashion Week this month. Under the mentorship of award-winning local designer Ella Rose, LSU students Annie Etzel, Alex Engelhardt, Rachel Detloff and Maddie Louivere will bring their creations to the popular event’s runways for the first time.

“The focus of my collection is on contrast,” Louivere says. “The contrast of light and dark, hard and soft, feminine and edgy.”

Her focus: The line I am creating is a Pre-Fall ready to wear collection for young women. The focus of the collection is on contrast. The contrast of light and dark, hard and soft, feminine and edgy.

Spring clothing she can’t live without: maxi skirts
Her fashion week goal: For everyone to see my collection the way I have been envisioning it!
