Anderson retrospective at LSU Museum of Art – Immerse yourself in the vibrant flora and fauna of the Mississippi Gulf Coast this weekend.
Immerse yourself in the vibrant flora and fauna of the Mississippi Gulf Coast this weekend, as “Everything I See Is New and Strange,” a retrospective of works by legendary artist Walter Inglis Anderson, opens at the LSU Museum of Art. The exhibit features breathtaking creations in a variety of mediums, including watercolor and oil paintings, pen and ink drawings, and pottery. The artist’s youngest son, John Anderson, will be on hand to discuss his father’s work and answer questions during a gallery talk scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. As the program is part of the museum’s Free First Sunday schedule, both admission to the show and the gallery talk are free to the public.
