An Olympic day for cyclists

Sunday is all about BMX racing. Since being recognized as an Olympic sport in 2008, BMX racing has grown in popularity. BREC’s Olympic Day at the BMX Raceway (Map it!) starts at 3 p.m. and features free racing and no membership fee. BREC is also lending out bikes and helmets free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis to those who present the Olympic Day flyer—available at many local bike shops—at the event. Practice days are Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, starting at 5 p.m. For more information, click here.
