Always the ‘Bridesmaids’

Freaks and Geeks creator Paul Feig gets the wedding blues this Friday in the female-led comedy Bridesmaids. Saturday Night Live’s Kristin Wiig stars as a perpetually single girl who’s best friend gets engaged and dubs her the maid of honor, saddling her with a list of responsibilities she feels woefully inadequate to take on before the big day. After meeting her friend’s quirky and disfunctional group of bridesmaids, Wiig and company’s attempts to throw successful showers, luncheons, dress fittings and the all-important bachelorette party turns into a series of hilarious misadventures. Maya Rudolf stars as the bride-to-be, and they are joined by co-stars Rose Byrne, Jon Hamm and Ellie Kemper. Rated R. (Image courtesy Universal Pictures)
