Preview performances of Origin, a dance and music piece that will be performed at the Edinbergh Fringe Festival later this month, kick off Friday at 7:30 p.m. at LSU’s Shaver Theatre. New works from Kathleen Lemoine and Sheryl Southwick will be on display at Frameworks Gallery (8501 Highland Road). Dizzy Arts and Records hosts a party Saturday at its headquarters at 1549 Sharlo Ave. The festivities start with an art show at 7 p.m., featuring pieces from Davy Goldsmith, Martha Landry, Mandy Torres and Michael Tucker, as well as live art from David Losavio and Alexa Marie Wolfkiel and fashion from Rachel Detloff and Krystal Frame.
