The Gallery at Manship Theatre hosts a free opening reception Thursday for its exhibit displaying The Jack Mitchell Collection. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and features an intimate look at the photographer’s work. Mitchell spent more than four decades as a photographer in New York City, with a list of subjects that included Robin Williams, Jack Nicholson, Kurt Vonnegut Jr. and John Lennon and Yoko Ono. The 30-piece collection will be on display through June 30.

Forward Arts presents the annual All City Teen Poetry Slam Sunday at Manship Theatre at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15.
