Alexander’s Highland Market hosts pop-up farmers market

Dozens of farmers, artists, crafters and entrepreneurs will be on hand at Alexander’s Highland Market for the store’s first Pop-Up Farmers Market Sunday. The event starts at 11 a.m. and represents a new monthly venture for the store at 18111 Highland Rd. Among some of the produce available are farm fresh eggs, Pontchatoula strawberries and Cornish hens. Also during the market, Alexander’s will be grilling Hollywood Livestock’s grass-fed beef for its weekly Sunday barbecue.
