Air It Up! offers vintage plane rides

A must-do family event this weekend, the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport celebrates 60 years of flying. Aviation enthusiasts can take rides on WWII vintage aircraft and flight simulators, as well as check out military flyovers, experimental aircraft, airport memorabilia and more. Everyone’s favorite country singer David St. Romain will perform as children climb rock walls, and enjoy GyroXTREME and bungee runs. Fill up on festival food while you’re there, too. Free admission and parking. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16.
