Add it to the ‘Carter’

Much like The Incredibles’ Brad Bird did last year with the latest Mission: Impossible film, Oscar-winning Toy Story and Wall-E writer Andrew Stanton tackles his first live action film with the action adventure adaptation of John Carter. Starring Taylor Kitsch of Friday Night Lights fame, John Carter follows a former Civil War soldier mysteriously transported to an otherworldly place where ruthless twelve-foot aliens rule a subordinated people. Quickly imprisoned, Carter must find means for an escape and aid an embattled princess who desperately needs his help. Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, Bryan Cranston, Samantha Morton and Mark Strong co-star. Rated PG-13.
