In the past year, the trend of beautifying walls in Baton Rouge with the work of talented artists has expanded from downtown into rundown areas of Old South Baton Rouge and even along Government Street. The BR Walls Project recently jumped the interstate, so to speak, expanding its mural and street art projects into Mid City, and the Museum of Public Art continues bringing in internationally known street artists to leave their mark on buildings in Old South. The result is a surprising, eye-catching and ever-changing display, all easily found with just a detour off the main thoroughfares.
