A Free Man of Color at Swine Palace

Starting Friday through Sunday, Swine Palace presents an epic comedy on a grand scale. A Free Man of Color explores the boisterous culture of New Orleans just prior to the historic Louisiana Purchase. At the center of this world of beautiful women, flowing wine and pleasure is Jacques Cornet, a beguiling and irresistible entrepreneur. But it is 1801, and the map of New Orleans is about to be redrawn. The Louisiana Purchase will bring American rule to New Orleans, redefining freedom and liberty in the rich, chaotic and colorful world of Cornet and all that he represents. The production is directed by prominent New York casting director Paul Russell and features Broadway actor Alvin Keith as Jacques Cornet. Click here for tickets and more information.
