A bike enthusiast’s dream in Abita Springs

The Louisiana Bicycle Festival returns Saturday to the picturesque town of Abita Springs with vintage and custom bicycles, a bike garage sale, festival food and hundreds of fellow bike enthusiasts. Visitors are encouraged to show off their bicycles, old or new, and custom bike shops and the Abita Brewery will be among the sponsors. Baton Rouge Advocates for Safe Streets will caravan to the festival; make arrangements at brsafestreets.org.  8 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the UCM Museum, 22275 Hwy. 36.
