’50/50′ chances

When seemingly-healthy 27-year-old Adam learns that he has a rare form of spinal cancer, he deals with the news in unexpected and often comedic ways in this bold look at terminal illness and the importance of the people in our lives in this Friday’s 50/50. Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars in this true-story based on the experiences of screenwriter Will Reiser, who wrote the film as a form of therapy during his own battle with cancer. Reiser’s real-life friend Seth Rogen plays a toned-down version of himself who attempts to perk up his sick friend enough to use cancer as a way to score with women.
