Krewe du Optic, a brand spankin’ new line of sunglasses based out of NOLA was an easy pick for 225 Finds! Though they cannot yet be purchased in any BR stores, they do have all of their styles for purchase online. I am a gal who is devoted to collecting sunglasses. Whether they be cheapos or an investment pair, I love them all the same. My car’s dash is their home and, from what I can tell, they like it there. I wasn’t at all surprised when these Toulouse’s fit right in to my collection but were so different from the ones I already owned.

Now for a little eval of the quality, etc. Quality shades should always always always be heavy! I cannot stress this enough. These babies are heavy enough for me to sit on and not break—I speak from experience. As far as my personal “eyelash test” goes, my mile longs don’t scratch the lenses when I blink. This pair, though heavy duty, does not give off the feeling of a sinus infection after hours of wear. You know exactly what I mean. I chose the champagne Toulouse for a non-traditional frame color. The grey lenses are not my usual pick (I’m an amber fan), but they keep the sun from burning my eyes. Overall, I highly recommend these for not only the cool factor, but because they are based here in Louisiana.
