Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg are hoping to boost the summer action movie quota. In 2 Guns, the A-list stars find themselves on the run after a botched attempt to infiltrate drug traffickers. The movie was originally conceived as a follow-up to Wedding Crashers, with the intention of Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn starring. But the film has taken a more slam-bang turn, relying on the chemistry of its two serious stars, with director Baltasar Kormákur (Contraband) now at the helm. This one could be a nice hit—there are no other big releases this weekend. It could also be another notch on Louisiana’s belt of big films as this was shot in New Orleans. Rated R.
