18 Steak hosts wine dinner next week
Enjoy select wines paired with a five-course meal at 18 Steak in L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge. The restaurant will host a Charles Krug Winery pairing dinner with Peter Mondavi Jr. and Chef Samantha Foglesong next Wednesday.
The menu starts with a burrata salad with roasted spring vegetable “pesto” on a crostine with sauvignon blanc. Spiced, chilled heirloom tomato soup with grouper ceviche paired with chardonnay will be the second course. Cabernet sauvignon will be served with pappardelle pasta with oxtail and baby summer vegetables for the third course. A grilled pork loin filet with potato and leek fritter and grilled Brussels sprouts will be served for the fourth course with merlot. The final course will be a chef’s choice dessert pairing.
