Dine Roundup: Table Kitchen and Bar reopens, wine walk downtown and more food news

Table Kitchen & Bar reopens at Southdowns after plumbing repairs

The Southdowns Shopping Center restaurant Table Kitchen & Bar reopened Monday, July 11. The news came via an announcement on Facebook over the weekend.  The restaurant, which specializes in local and season fare, announced in early June it would close temporarily to address plumbing issues beneath the restaurant.

In the following weeks, Table’s owners provided updates and images on the progress of repairs, including a new flooring in the bar area after the plumbing fixes were made.

Another business in Southdowns, Truly Free Bakery & Deli, announced in April it would close permanently because of similar issues with sewer lines. Table’s owners, however, seemed determined to keep operating and opened in time for Restaurant Week this week.

Its owners also hinted to a revamped menu coming soon once Restaurant Week ends, according to Facebook posts.
