‘Daily Report’: Stroubes, Walk-On’s to join Juban Crossing
The mix of restaurants and retailers at Juban Crossing is set to expand even further later this year, with Stroubes and Walk-On’s restaurants set to enter the Livingston Parish market, as well as six new retailers.
Both restaurants are set to break ground in the coming months, Juban Crossing announced last week. The Stroubes Restaurant Group (SRG), which owns and operates the upscale Stroubes Seafood and Steak on Third Street in downtown Baton Rouge, is aiming to open a new concept called Stroubes Grille this summer. The restaurant will measure about 8,000 square feet and will feature a number of menu items with which diners in Baton Rouge are familiar.
“By day, the restaurant will cater to shoppers seeking convenient dining; by night, Stroubes Grille will transform into a dining destination with a finer touch—an inviting space to relax and enjoy great steaks, fresh seafood, and homemade bread and desserts,” Lorraine Slade, SRG’s brand strategist, says in a news release.

Walk-On’s Bistreaux and Bar, meanwhile, is aiming to open a 7,500-square-foot restaurant with an outdoor patio at the development by the end of the year, says co-owner and founder Brandon Landry.
