Think Twice Style: Well Suited—Seinfeld’s Sherlock

Sure, you have to get past the smells, the germs and the overall sense of ick, but when you find something awesome, you don’t even care. Pack your hand sanitizer and keep your smelling salts close by … a trip to the local thrift store is worth it, trust me.

On that note, this vintage cape is thrift store gold. Pristine condition, gorgeous cut, dramatic length. It practically screamed for a moody, modern-day Sherlock outfit.

Capes cover up most of your outfit, making it seem like you can skimp on the rest of your look. Not allowed. Keep the rest of your outfit casual, though. Slim-cut denim with a few rips downplay the formal feel of the cape. Bring out your inner Jerry Seinfeld with your favorite silk puffy shirt. Let your sleeves peek out of the cape’s arm slips. Loafers on your feet bring together the funky and refined vibe you’re going for.

Last, but certainly not least, don’t forget your watch ring. Everyone knows a good investigator can never be without a good timepiece.
