Summer Fits release single, play Spanish Moon Saturday
Baton Rouge alt-rockers Summer Fits play at the Spanish Moon Saturday, Jan. 17. The band is fronted by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Melissa Eccles, who the subject of 225‘s Signature profile piece from January that highlights her non-musical vocation as a fascial stretch therapist.
The show coincides with the release earlier this week of the foursome’s first studio recording, a relentlessly catchy single called “Lies in the Lines”, a Pixies meets Sharon Van Etten style burner which is available for free download here. As you will hear on this track, Eccles’ creative merits are every bit as noteworthy as her professional pursuits.
The show starts at 10 p.m. and also features sets from local singer-songwriter Caroline Schaff and New Orleans’ own Hello Nomad. Cover is $7. RSVP here.
