Mulling Spice Drink Mix

From the December 2014 issue.
Yields approximately 1 gallon.
1 cup superfine sugar
1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground ginger
½ tsp. ground nutmeg
½ tsp. ground cloves
1. In a mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients well to combine.
2. Pour the mulling spice drink mix into an airtight container and store in a dry place for up to two months. This mix makes a great Christmas gift!Directions for use:
1. In a microwave-safe mug or a small saucepot over medium heat, warm 8 oz. of apple juice, apple cider or cranberry juice until it’s heated through.
2. Dissolve one half to one teaspoon of the mulling spice drink mix into the warmed juice and enjoy.
