Alexander’s offers healthy November pop-up market

Get fresh produce and more at Alexander’s Highland Market’s November pop-up farmers market this Sunday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This month’s market features health tips from Pennington Biomedical Research Center kitchen director Courtney Brock. At her booth, Brock will have a sampling of butternut squash soup and eggplant spinach bites, both made from two original Pennington recipes. The market is also set to include an outdoor barbecue, face painting for kids, a live bee exhibit and nearly 30 farmers and small-batch food vendors. Some of Sunday’s food vendors include Luckett Farms, AmazinGrace Creamery and Grinning Jupiter Jammery. Visit alexandersmkt.com for more information.
