See works from Kelli Scott Kelley

Visit the LSU Museum of Art to view surreal works from a local artist. The museum hosts an opening reception Thursday 6 p.m.-8 p.m. in support of Kelli Scott Kelley’s latest exhibit, Accalia and the Swamp Monster. The reception is free for museum members and $10 for non-members. The mixed-media works were recently published as a book by the same name and features paintings and drawings on repurposed antique linens. The 50 works form a loosely autobiographical fairytale, inspired by Kelley’s research into the lore of Louisiana swamplands and meditations on her own past. Read 225‘s review of the book. The exhibit will be on display at the museum through January 2015. For more information, click here.
