See a ballet company take on a Russian legend
Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre’s youth company performs Firebird free at various locations this week. Based on a Russian legend, the performance revolves around a simple hunter who wanders into an evil monster’s garden. The hunter falls in love with a captive princess and resolves to rescue her with a supernatural power granted to him by a magical bird of fire. Firebird‘s final performances will be held at the Scotlandville Library (7373 Scenic Hwy.) at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the Delmont Garden Library (3351 Lorraine St.) at 1 p.m. Thursday, and at the Main Library (7711 Goodwood Blvd.) at 10 a.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome for each performance. No registration is needed. For additional information, click here.
