On the road: Get a taste of Cajun hibachi in Arnaudville

The New Silver Slipper, a Cajun hibachi restaurant in Arnaudville (2818 Hwy. 31, Arnaudville, La., 70512), hosts Bayou Teche Brewing Friday for Tastes of the Teche. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. and features a night of food paired with some of the brewing company’s suds. Soul Creole, a band featuring Grammy nominees Louis Michot and Corey Ledet, will perform at 7 p.m.

The Silver Slipper was a staple in the small town that rests about 20 miles outside Lafayette. Recently, the restaurant and bar changed ownership and now features food that mixes Asian cuisine with Cajun flavors.
