Peter Parker battles three new villains in the latest Spider-Man movie. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to the 2012 hit/reboot, which sees the return of director Marc Webb and actor Andrew Garfield playing the title character. Seeing the success of The Avengers and its spin-off franchises, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hints at multiple storylines that could be told in the future, including the villainous group The Sinister Six. Some of the Six will be on hand in this film, including Green Goblin (Dane DeHaan) and Electro (Jamie Foxx). Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti also makes an appearance as the villain Rhino. Emma Stone returns as Gwen Stacy, the love interest of Parker. There was speculation that Shailene Woodley would appear as Mary Jane Watson, but the Divergent star’s scenes were cut. Rated PG-13.
