This weekend is all about Mardi Gras across Louisiana, and Baton Rouge finishes the season with three parades. On Friday, the Krewe of Southdowns will roll at 7 p.m., bringing a taste of The Big Easy to the Southdowns neighborhood. For more information, click here. The Spanish Town parade kicks off at noon downtown Saturday with Grand Marshal Jay Dardenne leading the pack. The parade starts at Spanish Town Road and is celebrating its 33rd anniversary with the theme of “Flamingo Dynasty.” For more information, click here. Town Square at North Boulevard will also play host to a Mardi Gras party Saturday. The event starts at 10 a.m. and features music from Henry Turner, food and more. On Mardi Gras day, the Beauregard Town Civic Association will host an open house and food drive at Beauregard Gallery and Bistro, 715 Europe St., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, click here.
