The menu: What to serve at your Super Bowl party

While the Seahawks and Broncos duke it out for Super Bowl XLVIII, everyone knows the party is usually better than the game. If you’re planning a Super Bowl shindig, you’ve got to have a stellar menu.

But if you’re still a little behind, 225 has got you covered with a great lineup of recipes and dishes to make Sunday night a blast.

Our menu includes goat cheese guacamole, meatball sliders, gluten-free corn dogs, booze-infused mac and cheese, chocolate s’mores cupcakes and two-ingredient Coca-Cola cupcakes.

For the starter course of goat cheese guac, you’ll need to combine avocados, garlic, cumin and salt using an electric hand mixer or food processor. Then add lime juice, cream cheese and goat cheese until smooth and blended well. Food Network has more details and the full recipe here.

That dip will probably go fast, so prep your meats for the gluten-free corn dogs and meatball sliders ahead of time.

Even though the corn dogs use gluten-free flour, they are just as crisp and delicious as what you remember eating as a child. Check out the recipe at glutenfreebaking.com.

Meatball sliders are a good finger food for those looking for something hearty during the game. Dress with some mozzarella and a little of your own tomato sauce, and you’ll knock partygoers on their backs. Food Republic has a great recipe here.

The problem with most Super Bowl parties is that everyone brings too many sides. Someone brings a salad. Another person brings a salad. Then someone brings leftovers from Thanksgiving. Enough already. Tell them to worry about the booze, drinks and ice. You will have everything else under control if you head over to The Beeroness for a booze-infused mac and cheese recipe.

Dessert is optional at Super Bowl parties, but if you want to score a touchdown and be proclaimed the greatest quarterback of Super Bowl parties, check out this recipe for two ingredient Coca-Cola cupcakes. If traditional is more your route, check out these s’mores cupcakes.
