Heads up: Lowbrow art discussion with ‘Juxtapoz’ co-founder next week

Critic, curator and Juxtapoz magazine co-founder Greg Escalante discusses lowbrow art and more at the LSU Design Building next Monday at 5 p.m. Escalante is the special guest juror in this year’s Surreal Salon Six at Baton Rouge Gallery. In the talk, Escalante will focus on his passion for pop-surrealist art and the evolution of lowbrow art from the movement’s beginnings to its current place in the art world.
