The Pelican House hosts Stone Brewery beer dinner
Enjoy a Southern California take on Louisiana ingredients at Pelican House’s beer dinner next week.
The local brewery (2572 Citiplace Ct.) will pair eights courses with six beers from Stone Brewery next Tuesday.
Pelican House chef Matt Reed says the dinner menu will emulate the beer’s unique and friendly vibe.

“They are a fun brewery, and this dinner should echo that,” Reed says. “We really like what they do.”
The menu includes three passed hors d’oeuvres, including mini venison empanadas, an oyster club and Cajun charcuterie paired with Stone Suede Porter. Next Tuesday’s appetizer will be alligator ribs paired with Stone Ruination IPA. The soup will be a boudin chili paired with Stone Double Bastard Ale. For the first entrée, Reed is preparing Wild Hog Korean Tacos paired with Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale. Redfish and Lentils will be paired with Stone Crime Ale for the second entrée. For dessert, Stone WootStout will be paired with chocolate-covered banana rolls.
The dinner starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person. To make your reservation, click here. —Matthew Sigur
