Hats on Hats on Hats – Dopest Dope of the Month

Co-written by Fashionista Martha Gibbs & Dope Doctor Connelly

Send out an SOS Dope alert. Hats are the new accessory, and I’m fully on board. They are so dope it is out of control. Why? First and foremost, they are “easy like Sunday morning.” Anyone can pick a hat to sport and rock it in their own way. Whether you’re a wannabe San Franciscan with a straw fedora or you want to treat every Saturday like you’re going to the Kentucky Derby with a wide brimmer, the hat will speak for you and instantly explain your style. Secondly, they instantly make any intricate outfit that much doper.

Whether it is a wide brimmed chapeau or a swanky snakeskin baseball cap, donning a hat is a must during these cold winter months. Your head loses the most heat when it’s cold outside, because science. So you’ll definitely look like a fashion genius supporting this trend. It may seem like an easy out for covering up a bad hair day, but don’t be fooled: it actually takes extra time to make sure that your follicles stay in the correct placement beneath your hat of the day. Pretending to be incognito when really you’re standing out like a sore thumb is the look of the month. The dopest trend on the block right now is simply summed up in one category: HATS.

The best thing about this trend is that it can be rocked on virtually any occasion. Beach days, work outs, class, work, shopping, hunting, doing yard work, a funeral, rain or shine, night or day, indoors or out, a hat will pull any outfit or lack thereof together. With the same hat, you can throw on some Tom Ford shades and celeb style it up on the streets, then transition to your nighttime look with a red lip and glitter on those eyes. Might as well make everything else on your face and bod stand out because your hat will be drawing the attention toward you anyway.

Hats prevent skin cancer while being the number one cause of dopeness. Feel “cool” wearing your shades at night? There’s this new feeling called “dope,” and it’s brought on with, you guessed it, A HAT UNDER THE STARLIGHT. The moon will never feel so bright. Stay dope, trend setterz!
