San Diego’s most beloved newscaster and all his friends return to take on the 1980s and 24-hour news. Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) is back in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, out in theaters today. Back with Burgandy is his Channel 4 News Team—weatherman Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), street reporter Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), and sportscaster Champ Kind (David Koechner). This could be the comedy event of the holiday season. The original garnered a respectable audience over the years, thanks to its quote-ability and all-around awesomeness. If I’m not mistaken, the Academy Awards gave it an honorary Oscar in 2004 for “Most Goodness in One Film.” Like its predecessor, the sequel is rated PG-13.
