Raise your voice at the Eclectic Truth Slam Open Mic Poetry Reading

Bring the rhythm and rhyme to the McKinley High School Alumni Center for this Thursday’s weekly Eclectic Truth Slam & Open Mic Poetry Reading, brought to you by Baton Rouge Poetry Alliance. Poets will compete in several rounds of spitting their own verses to inspire the audience and impress the judges. Whether you’re a writer, a listener or someone trying to find a voice, the open mic welcomes anyone to test out their chops. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the slam starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $7.
