Kenilworth Matherne’s hosts Peaty Scotch dinner tonight
Matherne’s on Highland Road (Map it!) departs from its usual monthly wine dinners for an evening dedicated to single malt Scotch. The reservation-only event kicks off tonight with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person, payable at the door only with a check or cash. Sample five single malt Scotches served with dishes composed to highlight each one, and visit with Ryan Kohl, district manager for Impex Beverages, the domestic importer for Arran and Kilchoman distilleries.
The menu features Arran 10-year served with prosciutto-wrapped dates stuffed with brie and orange marmalade; Arran 14-year with apple and smoked almond risotto; Arran 16-year with oven-baked fresh Atlantic salmon with cinnamon-pineapple beurre blanc; Arran Machrie Moor with applewood smoked double-cut pork chops and roasted Louisiana sweet potato with sage butter; and Kilchoman Michir Bay served with bittersweet chocolate crčme brulee.
