On the road: New Roads to host False River Harvest Fest
If you’re looking for a reason to get out of town this weekend, check out the False River Harvest Fest. Make the trip out to downtown New Roads and settle in for a few days on the lake featuring carnival rides, fireworks displays, a 5k run, food courts, arts and crafts, live music and a beer garden. Though some parts of the festival cost a few dollars, general admission is free. The fest kicks off Friday at 6 p.m. and runs until 6 p.m. Sunday. For more information, click here.
