Hip-hoppers from the Crescent City bring the party to The Varsity this week. New Orleans’ own prolific rapper Curren$y will perform with Pell and Kole Parker Thursday night. Since 2009, Curren$y has been on a hot streak, releasing eight albums to critical acclaim, including 2010’s Pilot Talk I and II and 2011’s Weekend at Burnie’s. Pilot Talk III is scheduled for release later this year. Tickets to the show are $25 in advance and available here. Tickets are $30 at the door. Doors open at 8 p.m. The show starts at 9 p.m.
