Mr. Ronnie’s Famous Hot Donuts coming soon

Houma-based Mr. Ronnie’s Famous Hot Donuts is branching out to Baton Rouge, with plans to open a shop on Lee Drive near the intersection of Highland Road.

Chris Shaheen of Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Real Estate says Mr. Ronnie’s and a Little Caesars pizza franchise have thus far inked deals to occupy a 6,000-square-foot retail center going up at 216 Lee Drive (Map it!). The retail space is expected to be completed in about four months.

Mr. Ronnie’s specializes in classic glazed and cake donuts as well as decorative seasonal donuts for holidays such as St. Patrick’s Day, Fourth of July, Halloween and Christmas. The shop also does “fancy” donuts such as maple bacon and pecan praline éclairs and serves burgers and French fries.
